Silent Gallery is pleased to present our third project with Bay Area artist Lee Walton.

March 15, 2003, Lee Walton invites the Bay Area community to participate in “LAST PLACE: The 2003 Walton Derby”.

Artists, non-artists and local art galleries will be involved in what is to be the most exciting evening the Bay Area art community has seen. Southern Exposure (soex.org),San Francisco's oldest and hippest art gallery, will host the event in their huge exhibition space.

The objective is simple. Build the slowest car to cross the finish line. The slowest car to cross the finish line wins. All cars that lose or do not finish the race are chopped in half. In the end, there only the slowest car will be spared.

To participate, you need to get a car kit. You may pick up your car kit from Southern Exposure for $3.00 or one can be mailed to you for $5.00.

Get it. Build it. Race it.
