Racing Rules |

| 1.
|
A
traditional single elimination tournament will be used to determine
the 2001 Walton Derby Last Place Champion.
|
|
| 2.
|
Each
participant may race only one car. |
|
| 3.
|
Participants
must be present at the time of the race. |
|
| 4.
|
Cars
must pass an official inspection before each race. |
|
| 5.
|
Cars
will be placed in Lane 1 or Lane 2 depending on the draw. |
|
| 6.
|
In
the first round of races, you may request an opponent. For example,
My cousin, Aaron, will be racing his wife, Renel. If have someone
in mind you would like to race, let us know with your car registration. |

|
| |
Winning
and Losing the Race |
|
| 1.
|
The
last car to reach the finish line wins and proceeds into the next
round of racing.
|
|
| 2.
|
A
car has officially finished the race at the precise moment any part
of the car has broken the plane of the finish line. |
|
| |

|
| 3.
|
Any
car that comes to a complete stop before crossing the finishline will
receive a loss. Therefore, if two cars are racing against each other
and both of them stop short of the finish line, both cars receive
a loss and are eliminated from the Derby. |

| 4.
|
Any
car that breaks any of the Rules
and Regulations will be eliminated. |
|
| 5.
|
The
winner of the 2001 Walton Derby
will be officially recognized and awarded. The winning car will be
donated into the Walton Derby Hall of Fame. All cars inducted
into the Walton Derby Hall of Fame become the sole property of Lee
Walton. |
